Tarps form a major role in human's life. They protect the human properties from wind, rain etc. Basically tarps are waterproofed canvas which is used for clothing stuffs. Canvas tarp is used to protect people from external disasters like wind, cold etc. There is certain kind of welding blankets which is mainly used in deserts to prevent against powerful storms. The operation or mechanism is very simple. It's just a drop cloth which is used to cover the area.
