Prevention of Tooth Pain and Remedies


Tooth pain is something, which makes one wandering between places, being unsettled at one place.  The feeling is like, as if we need to punch something on our way. Tooth pain can be caused by many ways, such as bad maintenance of teeth, growth of muscle or skin within the teeth area etc.

I have a pain in both of my grinding teeth. Earlier, there was one tooth affected and caused a hole in it. To eradicate the problem, I made the filling in that particular tooth. The filling of the tooth doesn't last long as it rolled over on one fine evening during the shower, there was no pain or any signs of it. Later as the years pass by, the tooth started dissolving and at times there would be small breakage of the damaged tooth, while eating. Slowly the damage started spreading to the adjacent tooth as its centre hole got bigger the situation turned out to be severe. Suddenly after several months, there was a severe tooth pain. I thought, it's because of the teeth which has been corroded all these years, but the actual fact is because, most part of both the teeth were drained leaving parts of sharp little teeth visible.

I didn't take any medication as I found it was very expensive in the country I lived, so I looked for some home remedies. My first try was with cloves. I can say it really helped to get off the pain, as the cloves stands in the affected area of the tooth, it makes the region much numb and relieves the pain temporarily. Most of the times cloves have done its job, but sometimes when the pain becomes worse, I feel vexed and feel like hitting on it to make the outer part of the teeth to have more pain, but that's not a good remedy. I also applied axe oil to the affected teeth. It helped me to relieve the pain, but the oil content in the mouth makes us to split out the saliva quite often. But applying axe oil to the affected area with the ear buds surely helps in reducing the pain.

I also found, that there are ways to control the tooth pain, like not adding sweets or sugar to our daily food routine. Brushing the teeth twice will help in prevention of tooth pain at least to some extent. The most important thing is to make sure the right quality of tooth paste and tooth brush for brushing the teeth. Toothpaste like Dabur with glove content is highly recommended. Tooth pain mostly occurred during the night times, where the pain gets extreme level, so it's better to brush the teeth before crashing and most importantly not to eat dinner with any sweet contents in it.
