Who said men are after figures and features? When it comes to rating women on attractiveness, they go for the middling. Zero is zilch and perfect 10 are a bit out of question. So, doesn’t that mean you’ll have the men give you a go by and instead settle their attentions on someone who performs more admirably on the attractiveness scale? Well, baby you need shed no flab nor carve any curve because the men’s definition of attractiveness is quite different from what you think it is. A study conducted says men, nay make that gentleman, and find the homely shape of the girl-next-door more attractive than the “perfect” proportions of models. The Miss Average may not ever make it to playboy centerfolds, but, then, she’ll also not have to work too hard or ever be expected to perfect the hot Go Go girl act to snag a man’s attention. Miss Average will have the men naturally turning and looking her way. And who’s Miss Average? The study describes her as a 5’4’’ female with a 30’ waist and 40’ hips.
So, if you swear by gym regimen and will stop at nothing short of a toned and well turned out body, isn’t that a lot of sweat for not much in return? Men prefer average women because they are very intimidated. They don’t want women who respect themselves and take good care of their bodies. Somewhere deep down, they want to be the more attractive partner. They’d like it if women look up to them, as opposed to others looking up to their women. Are men deep down exposing their insecurities about looks when they give their thumbs up to Miss Average?
